Amb. Dr. R. Vijay (Anand) is a distinguished media professional, educator, social contributor, and visionary leader committed to strengthening journalism, empowering communities, and promoting social responsibility. Through his leadership and dedication, he has created platforms that support journalists, encourage public awareness, and foster meaningful social development.
He currently serves as:

- Managing Director – Universal Education Vidyapith (University)

The Universal Press Media Association (U.P.M.A) was established in 2015 with the support of editors, reporters, writers, and media professionals who have made remarkable contributions to journalism, often regarded as the fourth pillar of democracy.
Recognizing the importance of protecting and empowering journalists, U.P.M.A was founded with a vision to support media professionals while promoting public awareness, social welfare, and community development. Since its inception, the association has continued to expand its impact through welfare initiatives, educational programs, leadership opportunities, and community engagement activities.
